3 GENERATIONS OF SERVICE EXCELLENCE
Blake Goddard founded Appliance E.M.T. in 2004 with the goal of providing swift, reliable appliance repair service when you need it most. From a young age, he knew he loved fixing things, and often worked with his dad on home repairs and automobile fixes.
Blake has proudly continued the family tradition by teaching his own children the art of appliance repair. As they’ve grown up, Blake’s children have become essential to the family business, providing expert appliance repairs just like their father and grandfather.

Should I Repair or Replace My Appliance?
As you decide whether to repair or replace a malfunctioning appliance, consider its age, the cost of repair, and its overall condition. Generally, if the appliance is less than 10 years old and repairs will cost less than half of the price buying a new one, repairing it is your best bet.
However, if the appliance is old, inefficient, or experiences frequent problems, replacement may be more cost-effective in the long run. But before you head to the store to buy a new appliance, call Appliance E.M.T. We’ll send one of our expert technicians to diagnose the issue and give you an estimate on repair costs, allowing you to confidently make an informed decision about the best option for you.

Why Is My Fridge Not Cooling?
Your fridge may struggle to keep your food cool for several reasons. Malfunctioning compressors, dirty condenser coils, faulty thermostats, and blocked vents are possible culprits.
Before seeking professional appliance repair services, there are a few things you can try. First, check the thermostat settings to ensure they’re set correctly. If that doesn’t work, clean the condenser coils, which can accumulate dust over time and hinder the fridge’s ability to stay cool. Next, check the vents inside the fridge to make sure they aren’t blocked.
If these troubleshooting measures don’t resolve the issue, the problem could stem from a faulty compressor or improper refrigerant levels, which typically require professional attention. But don’t worry — with speedy service from Appliance E.M.T., we can get your fridge back to normal in no time.

Why Aren’t My Dishes Getting Clean?
If your dishes are still dirty when they come out of the dishwasher, the first thing you should do is rule out improper loading. Overcrowding the dishwasher can block the spray arms from reaching all the dishes.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, you may be dealing with a clogged or dirty filter, low water temperature, or a malfunctioning spray arm. Try cleaning out the filter to remove trapped food particles, and ensure your water heater is set to at least 120°F. If the spray arm is clogged or not rotating properly, it may need to be cleaned or replaced.
When all else fails, our appliance repair technicians can check each component, find the source of the issue, and ensure your dishwasher is in good working order.

Why Isn’t My Dryer Drying My Clothes?
If your clothes are still damp when they come out of the dryer, you may be able to fix the issue on your own. Start by thoroughly cleaning out the lint trap before each use and checking the dryer vent and duct for any obvious blockages.
If everything is clear and your dryer still isn’t getting your clothes dry, it may be due to a defective heating element, thermostat, or thermal fuse, which are best handled by the professionals. Give us a call, and we’ll get your dryer back in top condition.

Why Won’t My Washing Machine Drain?
So, your washing machine isn’t draining, leaving your clothes in a puddle of water. The drain hose may be clogged, the pump could be faulty, or maybe it’s a problem with the lid switch.
First, locate the drain hose and check it for any kinks or blockages. If the hose is clear, the drainage issue may stem from a clogged or damaged pump. Additionally, if your washer has a lid switch, check to make sure it’s functioning properly. The washer may not drain if the switch is broken.
If none of these troubleshooting steps solve the problem, it’s time to call Appliance E.M.T. for professional appliance repair services.

Why Isn’t My Garbage Disposal Working?
If your garbage disposal isn’t working properly, it could be due to a jammed motor, a clogged drain, or an electrical issue. Start by checking that the disposal is plugged in, then press the reset button (usually located at the bottom of the unit).
If that doesn’t do the trick, try clearing any jams by turning off the power and using a hex key to manually turn the motor shaft from underneath. Shine a flashlight down the drain to check for clogs, and try running the faucet while turning on the disposal.
If the garbage disposal still doesn’t work, the motor may be burned out, which requires professional repair or replacement. GIve us a call, and our expert technicians can get you taken care of.
